Axium Process, a stainless steel specialist, has trebled the size of its manufacturing facility in Swansea to 30,000ft2 (2,800m2), enabling increased production capacity and benefiting customers by improving delivery times.

The firm, which supplies the nuclear, aerospace, pharmaceutical, food, beverage and dairy industries, has streamlined all processes and integrated them into the new facility creating a 'one stop shop' that includes professional CAD drawing office facilities, a CNC equipped machine shop, welding and metal fabrication departments, a high specification metal polishing and surface finishing department as well as bead blasting and an electro-polishing operation.

The company has also invested in comprehensive inspection facilities and testing procedures.

As well as being one of the UK’s leading hygienic stainless steel fabricators, Axium Process is also a major player in membrane and filtration technologies and has broad experience in liquid separation and filtration applications ranging from effluent treatment to product purification.

Axium’s new facility includes a dedicated wet test area and laboratory services for conducting pilot plant trials and evaluating membrane filtration for any liquid process separation needs.

The firm supplies fully automatic filtration systems, stainless steel frameworks, heat exchangers, tanks and pressure vessels through to component customisation, pipework fabrication, tees, bends and manifolds.

It is also the manufacturer of the Pure-Screen wedge wire and Fine-Screen sintered stainless steel filter range used in liquid processing applications.
