Responds to customer demand and is in line with investment plans

In response to increased customer demand and in line with company plans to invest in manufacturing facilities in the UK, Custom Pharmaceuticals has acquired a new Courtoy R150 tablet press.

The R150 is capable of producing 250,000 tablets per hour. It also includes the latest in process checking software allowing individual out of specification tablets to be rejected.

The R150 spearheads a round of investment in equipment, including a new Ytron Comill additional drying capacity and in stainless steel in-process drums from Mueller.

‘All of the new equipment is being validated and installed during Q4 2010 in readiness for a planned double-digit growth in output and revenues during 2011,’ said Nigel Richardson, chief executive of Custom Pharmaceuticals.
