Chemical industry experts and stakeholders are meeting today in Helsinki for the European Chemicals Agency's (ECHA) Sixth Stakeholders' Day.

Around 400 people, primarily from the EU, are representing a wide range of sectors including chemicals and metal industries, various downstream industries, NGOs, consumer groups, environmental groups, health-based and women's organisations, trade unions, animal welfare associations.

Three sessions will focus on: registration, authorisation and restriction; downstream user obligations; and evaluation and dissemination.

You can catch up with proceedings online either live or after the event.

The aim of the Stakeholders' Day is to provide an opportunity to share REACH and CLP experiences and lessons, to inform and share best practice on how to comply with EU chemicals legislation and to provide a platform for discussions and networking between ECHA and its stakeholders.

Access to the web stream is free of charge and a video of the event will be available on the ECHA events page soon after.
