Adds 23,000ft2 of temperature-controlled storage in Treforest, South Wales
Packaging and clinical trials services specialist Brecon Pharmaceuticals has expanded its storage and distribution capacity by investing in a purpose-built facility in Treforest, South Wales, UK, to meet increased demand.
The new site will provide a further 23,000ft2 of temperature-controlled storage facilities and eight dispatch lanes.
The investment is part of the company’s ambitious growth strategy and demonstrates its commitment to growing and innovating to meet the changing needs of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. The facility at Treforest guarantees 24-hour national distribution.
Brecon Pharmaceuticals’ managing director Peter Belden said the new temperature-controlled addition would meet the highest standards in clinical trial and commercial product handling including the ability to manage ambient, cold and frozen conditions.
Brecon Pharmaceuticals and Anderson Packaging, its sister company in the US, support clients from the earliest stage of r&d through clinical trial and filing and on to commercialisation, packaging and supply.
Belden added: “The additional storage capacity and eight dispatch lanes at the new facility mean that we can facilitate the growth we are anticipating both in terms of volume and increasingly complex specifications. With a fully-scalable service we are able to work collaboratively with our customers to support them through the entire drug lifecycle.’
