Visionscan will be launched at Interpack 2011

Deblistering equipment and leak testing specialist Sepha has developed a tool-less, vision-based leak detection machine for blisterpacks, which will be launched at interpack 2011 in Hall 16, stand E23.

The Dundonald, Co Down-based company says Visionscan has been developed to meet growing demand from pharmaceutical blisterpack manufacturers for a low cost yet accurate leak detection alternative to the blue dye test that can be integrated into their quality control systems.

Visionscan uses high-resolution camera imaging technology to detect defects in individual blister pockets and weak seals in less than 60 seconds. Because it is tool-less, 21 CFR Part 11 compliant and capable of detecting defects down to 15µm, it is suitable for contract and generic manufacturers where speed, accuracy and multiple product changeover is required, the company says.
