Compact top-loading autoclave offers big load capacity

Suitable for sterilising tall items such as fermentation vessels

For laboratories with limited floor space that need to sterilise tall items such as fermentors and large capacity Erlenmeyer flasks, or have a high-density load requirement, the latest version of the Priorclave C60 top loading autoclave could be a good choice.

The Priorclave compact C60 has a 60-litre stainless steel chamber that can accommodate 10 x 1-litre bottles, 16 x 500ml bottles or six 1-litre Erlenmeyer flasks, but has a footprint of only 472 x 620mm.

The push-button Tactrol2 microprocessor control system enables users easily to program the sterilising parameters of time and temperature as well as select special features such as free-steaming and media warming.

Free steaming can improve air removal in difficult loads and/or reduce temperature lag between the load and the autoclave, cutting process time at higher temperatures.

The media warming feature cycles the temperature between approximately 45o and 55oC once the factory pre-set temperature of 45oC is reached, which continuous until the door is opened. This allows, for example, nutrient media to be held as a liquid until it is needed, especially when used along with the delayed start function.

Access to the sterilising chamber is gained through the patented Quickseal single-action door closure/opening mechanism, which is designed for one-handed operation and incorporates thermal and pressure locks that prevent opening at unsafe temperatures and pressure to prevent personal injury. Since it is equipped with castors the Priorclave C60 can be easily moved when required and the fact that it plugs into a 13A socket to power-up makes it quick and easy to install.
