GE Healthcare to offer bioprocessing training in Singapore

Published: 20-Feb-2012

The scheme will cover the complete downstream bioprocessing workflow

GE Healthcare is to offer Fast Trak training at the School of Life Sciences and Chemical Technology, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore.

These education and training courses will provide hands-on practical training in the latest technologies and strategies for bioprocessing, the firm said. The scheme covers the whole of the downstream bioprocessing workflow.

GE Healthcare currently has Fast Trak Training Centres in China, Germany, India, Japan and the US, each equipped with the latest technologies for bioprocessing, in an environment that closely replicates the industrial setting.

The Singapore centre will provide easier access to training for scientists and production specialists based in Australia and New Zealand, while also serving the rapidly growing markets of South East Asia, including Malaysia, Thailand and South Korea.

Olivier Loeillot, general manager of Enterprise Solutions, GE Healthcare Life Sciences, said: ‘Establishing a Fast Trak Training presence in Singapore will bring us closer to our customers in South East Asia and Australasia. We can now offer our comprehensive training programmes in a more convenient location for the region’s rapidly developing biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry.’
