PCI and partners host San Diego and San Francisco serialisation events

Professionals working in life science packaging and logistics can learn more about the fast-changing topic of serialisation at two free seminars on 16 February in San Diego and 18 February in San Francisco. The sessions are being organised by leading pharmaceutical outsourcing services provider PCI Pharma Services, in collaboration with Xytnek, Antares, and Healthcare Packaging Magazine.

The events will highlight evolving industry regulations for the implementation of industry serialisation, particularly the imminent deadlines for compliance with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) in the United States, as well as European Union requirements and those of emerging markets including China, South Korea, Brazil and others.

Best practices for global serialisation implementation will be highlighted, including an expert panel of leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies, who will share their insights and lessons learned.

The seminars form part of PCI’s ongoing programme of regional events discussing topics relating to optimising clinical trial execution and commercial pharmaceutical supply. PCI hosted a serialisation seminar in Philadelphia in September 2015 that drew more than 100 attendees.

The upcoming seminars in February will particularly benefit industry professionals from pharmaceutical and biotech companies affected by global serialisation requirements, and they are encouraged to attend. Agenda information and event registration is available online at www.pciservices.com/events. Seating is limited so PCI encourages interested individuals to register their attendance in advance.

In October 2015, PCI announced a rebranding under the name PCI Pharma Services, integrating acquired businesses Packaging Coordinators, AndersonBrecon, Penn Pharma and Biotec Services International.
