Local technical and engineering support will be stronger

Minnesota Thermal Science (MTS), an international provider of solutions for the safe transportation of temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical, blood and biologic products, has expanded its strategic partnership with European market-leader of temperature-controlled packaging, SCA Cool Logistics.

According to Kevin Lawler, vice president of sales for MTS, the expanded partnership will provide customers with access to MTS’ technology, regardless of their geography, at competitive prices that are based on local manufacturing, inventory and lead times.

‘Our capability to support clients locally with technical and engineering support will be stronger,’ he said. ‘Our customers will have the opportunity to work with one provider from conception to implementation for all of their cold chain requirements.’

Minnesota Thermal Science provides innovative, scientific solutions for the safe transportation of sensitive tissue, pharmaceutical, blood and biologic products. The company’s reusable and environmentally friendly containers protect contents at defined temperatures longer than any other passive thermal control product available.

Part of the SCA Packaging Group, UK-based SCA Cool Logistics is focused on designing, testing and qualifying temperature-controlled packaging solutions to meet all customer requirements. It works predominantly on solutions for the pharmaceutical, clinical trials and distribution industries, handling the needs of a wide range of customers from small biotech companies to multinational pharmaceutical corporations. The heart of the business is design, and the UK site has the largest test facility in Europe with 23 environmental test chambers from which temperature-controlled packaging can be developed and qualified.
