Can be processed on all standard blister lines

Perlen Packaging has entered the ultra-high barrier segment with a PvdC-based blister film called Perlalux-Ultra protect.

The Swiss company's latest innovation provides high transparency and can be processed on all standard blister lines, without requiring additional forming aids. The symmetrical structure can be sealed on both sides to the aluminium lid foil, while the barrier layers in the middle give optimum protection and the highest product safety. The company says in comparison with PCTFE films, Perlalux-Ultra protect has a higher oxygen barrier at an equivalent moisture barrier.

The PvdC-based Perlalux Ultra protect films allows for a more compact arrangement of tablet, which means up to 50% smaller packs, resulting in cost savings in material, packaging, transport and storage.

'The trend in tablet packaging is going towards 'one fits all', as an efficient global distribution and logistics network can only be achieved through standardisation of the transparent blister packs, now faqvoured by consumers,' said Wolfgang Grimm, CEO of Perlen Packaging.
