Roehrhoff to succeed Herberg as Gerresheimer ceo

Gerresheimer\'s chief executive Axel Herberg will step down and leave the company\'s management board when his contract expires in June. His successor will be Uwe Roehrhoff.

Gerresheimer's chief executive Axel Herberg will step down and leave the company's management board when his contract expires in June. His successor will be Uwe Roehrhoff. Herberg has spent nearly 20 years in top management with Gerresheimer. In the past 10 years as ceo he has shaped the Duesseldorf company's development into an international supplier of glass and plastic vials and drug delivery systems to the pharma and healthcare industries. He was also instrumental in the successful flotation of Gerresheimer AG. Herberg has worked with his successor for many years. Roehrhoff has also been with Gerresheimer for 20 years. He was appointed to the management board in 2003 and took responsibility for the development of Gerresheimer's business in the US and China. Gerresheimer has also appointed Hans-Juergen Wiecha as chief financial officer for a further five years.
