Tom Mitchell becomes Ashfield's UK Head of Syndicated Services

Syndicated services offer clients a way to conduct detailed promotional sales calls for newly launched products

Ashfield, part of UDG Healthcare, has appointed Tom Mitchell as Head of Syndicated Services for the Ashfield Commercial business in the UK.

The UK syndicated team has 170 representatives and 17 RBMs working for a multitude of clients.

Ashfield’s syndicated services offer clients a compelling way to conduct detailed promotional sales calls for newly launched products, campaign realignment for growing products and simple brand messages for mature products.

Tom joined the Ashfield Commercial business in September 2008 as a Regional Business Manager (RBM) as part of the Apex syndicated team before securing a role as a Project Manager heading up the newly-formed Discovery syndicated team in 2010.

Mitchell said: “The experience, productivity and in-call quality scores of our people mean clients can be proud to have them represent their brands.”

Mitchell has worked in the pharmaceutical sector for 28 years as a medical representative, primary care RBM, secondary care RBM and as a Project Manager.

“With this knowledge, I have been able to agree ambitious objectives with our clients whilst imparting the right levels of urgency and focus.”

“It is also critical to ensure that our salesforce is supported, upskilled and developed.”
