The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) has appointed Alison Clough to the newly created role of director of value.
Clough joins the ABPI from Innovex where she held a series of management positions, including running the UK business. In her new role she will work with industry, NICE and the NHS to drive change in the way new medicines are appraised and perceived, moving from a cost-based to a value-based approach.
Prior to becoming md at Innovex, Clough was operations director for the Clinical Research and Health Management division, after holding a variety of roles during 15 years at GlaxoSmithKline.
