Less handling reduces the risk of membrane contamination

Cole-Parmer has introduced sterile mixed cellulose esters (MCE) membranes for dispensers from quality Japanese filtration manufacturer Advantec.

The pleated band membranes offer the same high quality and reliability as individually wrapped MCE membranes and provide hands-free convenience and increased efficiency as well as reducing the risk of membrane contamination from handling. Used in many applications for the microbiological examination of water, wastewater, pharmaceuticals, food, and beverages, the membrane not only has high recovery rates, its high porosity provides superior flow rates as well.

Key benefits:

  • Available in 0.45μm and 0.80μm pore sizes
  • A choice of membranes with gridded surface in white (for examination of water and wastewater and applications in the pharmaceutical, medical, food and beverage industries) and black (for examination of bottled water, carbonated beverages, beer, and wine)
  • Pre-sterilised and ready to use
  • 100 individually sealed filters in a continuous pleated band
  • Compatible with various dispensers (Microsart e.motion, EZ-Pak, Membrane-Butler)
  • Membrane specifications, lot number, and a sequential number are printed on the clear cover of each individually wrapped filter

Advantec membranes were developed and are manufactured to comply with the ASTM and the Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater. The filter products are manufactured to exacting standards and have established quality control specifications to assure product consistency, reproducibility, uniform performance, and superior product integrity.

Advantec manufactures under a strict quality management system and is ISO 9001 approved.
