Almac clinical trial workshop series returns in 2013

Published: 20-Mar-2013

Interactive workshops are intended for clinical trial/outsourcing professionals from pharmaceutical and biotech companies

The Almac Group is hosting its third international series of complimentary workshops this spring, entitled ‘Protocol to Patient: Managing Clinical Supplies in an Evolving Marketplace’.

The day-long, interactive workshops are intended for clinical trial/outsourcing professionals from pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Their goal is to introduce and propose strategies for successful clinical supply chain management, ranging from packing design considerations to global distribution.

The workshops will divide attendees into three groups, each one a different component of supply chain management. Speakers will present case studies that examine issues related to clinical supply management, and all three groups - a CRO, a clinical technology services company and a study sponsor - will approach the case study issues and devise solutions based on their assigned point of view.

Robert Dunlop, Managing Director at Almac Clinical Services, commented: ‘The workshops are designed to foster learning, build networks, and promote professional development among those in all facets of the clinical trial profession. We encourage attendees to discuss common challenges and brainstorm solutions, and hope they will take away new or improved processes that will lead to greater success.’
