Award shows employees are dedicated in understanding modern approaches to maintaining and improving quality within Almac’s business

Almac’s Clinical Services business unit has been presented with the ‘ASQ Philadelphia Section Large Company Member of the Year’ award. The award is presented annually to the company with more than 200 employees with the leading participation in section activities.

The American Society for Quality (ASQ) is the world’s leading authority on quality and advances the professional development, credentials, knowledge and information services, membership community, and advocacy on behalf of its more than 85,000 members worldwide. The Philadelphia Section is one of the largest and most active of ASQ’s 250 sections.

Mark Rohlfing, Director of Quality for Clinical Services in Pennsylvania, received the award on behalf of Almac. ‘The award is a credit to the work of two groups of people including the Philadelphia Section of ASQ, which provides wonderful opportunities for folks from various industries to learn from one another, and the staff at Almac who take time away from their busy work and personal schedules to continue to learn and grow professionally for the good of themselves and Almac,’ he said.

In addition to Almac’s local involvement, over the years dedicated Almac employees have also obtained formal certification from ASQ in a number of quality fields from auditing to quality management. ‘ASQ certification shows that our employees are dedicated in understanding modern approaches to maintaining and improving quality within our business and because of that Almac has always been a big supporter,’ added Rohlfing.
