Dishman plant in China up for sale
Facility will continue to manufacture until a suitable buyer is found
Dishman Pharmaceuticals is planning to part ways with its plant in China to pare off some debt.
The Ahmedabad-based contract research and manufacturing services provider had invested around US$25m in the facility. Construction commenced in 2006 but the project was delayed owing to pending regulatory approvals.
The plant, which is located in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, began operations only last year and currently manufactures intermediates and speciality chemicals. The company has not ceased operations at the plant, and would continue to manufacture until a suitable buyer is found.
