Ahead of Falsified Medicines Directive deadline

In anticipation of the impending Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD) deadline, Domino Printing Sciences’ Global Life Sciences Sector Manager Craig Stobie, is joining forces with Ian Haynes, Managing Director of 3C Integrity and formerly AstraZeneca’s Associate Engineering Director, at Total Processing and Packaging 2013 to help visitors implement serialisation schemes based on lessons learned from global pilot projects.

Speaking on Thursday 6 June between 12.00-12.45pm in the Interphex Theatre, Stobie and Haynes will share practical experience from an AstraZeneca serialisation pilot and highlight the key challenges and opportunities that arise when devising and implementing brand and patient protection projects.

Hosted by Lynn Bryan, ISPE UK Chair, the seminar will also update delegates on the latest global legislation and how the FMD will affect all areas of the sector – from engineering through to marketing and stakeholder engagement.

‘Domino is delighted to partner Ian for this presentation: having led a global serialisation project long before legislation mandated it, he is well versed in the challenge that serialisation brings to manufacturers, not just to engineering teams but also across the organisation,’ says Stobie.

‘The FMD in Europe and other legislation such as e-Pedigree in the US will see product security projects being implemented on a wide scale, but it is not an easy road. Total offers the perfect platform for us to meet pharmaceutical manufacturers and we are looking forward to sharing what we’ve learned.’
