EMA establishes task force on implementing international medicine standards

The standards have been developed by the International Organization for Standardization


A task force for implementing international standards in the European Union on identifying medicinal products for human use is being established by the European Medicines Agency. They were developed by the International Organization for Standardization.

These standards established data elements, formats and terminologies for the identification of medicines, including pharmaceutical dose forms, administration routes, packaging and active substances.
