EU Ministers approve fatty alcohol dumping duty

Imposition of charges affects Indian, Indonesian and Malaysian producers


The European Union Council of Ministers has imposed definitive anti-dumping duties on imports into the EU of certain fatty alcohols and their blends, used as pharmaceutical ingredients, made in India, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Indian companies will be charged €86.99 per tonne; Indonesian companies €80.34/tonne; and Malaysian companies €61.01/tonne, with some special lower tariffs for selected companies.
