EU countries to probe ingredient chemical safety

European Chemicals Agency reveals 91 substances that will be investigated


Specialists will assess the safety of certain chemicals potentially used in pharmaceutical products until 2013.

The European Chemicals Agency has unveiled a list of 91 substances to be probed by European Union (EU) national governments, coordinated by the agency, under the EU’s chemical control system REACH. If found dangerous, these chemicals could be strictly controlled.
