Experts to address the American Vacuum Society\'s 60th international symposium and exhibition

Edwards Group, a leading manufacturer of sophisticated vacuum products and abatement systems and a global provider of related value-added services, is attending the AVS (American Vacuum Society) 60th International Symposium and Exhibition, which takes place from 27 October to 1 November 2013 in Long Beach, California.

Edwards’ expert Dr Andrew Chew is presenting an invited technical paper – ‘Recent Innovations in Dry Pumping Technology’ – which will discuss some of the most recent significant developments in dry pumping technologies, with reference to improved operation and productivity, maintenance, minimised environmental impact and cost of ownership.

Edwards has recently acquired Gamma Vacuum, a manufacturer of ultra-high vacuum (UHV) pumps, with a very strong reputation for ion pumps and titanium sublimation pumps. As such, Edwards now offers a full range of dry vacuum pumps from UHV through to atmospheric pumping, and has a complete offering to the scientific instrument, high energy physics and R&D markets.

Visitors to the Edwards booth can see a wide range of vacuum pumps suitable for many processes, and will be able to discuss their vacuum needs with applications experts. Gamma Vacuum is exhibiting alongside Edwards for the first time, so visitors can meet Edwards’ new partners in ultra-high vacuum technology and see a range of Gamma ion pumps.

Rod Hughes, Business Development Director at Edwards, commented: 'We are delighted to be at this event, demonstrating our applications expertise and technology leadership. At Edwards, we tackle varied and demanding process problems, and bring together our global, cross-industry experience and world-class experts to solve those problems.'
