Opens a new service station in Shanghai, China to support growing business

As part of its continued network expansion, Envirotainer has opened a new service station in Shanghai, China to support its growing cold chain business in the pharmaceutical supply chain.

Envirotainer now has a total of 54 stations across EMEA, APAC and the Americas. With the new service station, Envirotainer has more capacity to release its RKN e1 containers to the Chinese and Asian market; thus making it more efficient for pharmaceutical companies to ship their temperature-sensitive products faster to their final destination.

Simon Angeldorff, CEO from Envirotainer, said, 'For Envirotainer, this is a massive expansion to the market and we are bringing the best-in-class solutions for the customers in the region. This means that we can ensure availability of our containers and secure shipments so that the medicines can arrive safely to the patient.'

Envirotainer will continue to invest and open its network to ensure that its cold chain solutions are available globally. In the past year alone, the company has taken several steps to strengthen its position, including the opening of a new US headquarters and Cold Chain Competence Centre in New York, a stronger product and service offering, and the increase of production and of its container fleet size to meet market demand.
