Irish contract packing company Millmount Healthcare has purchased a CTE350 labeller from UK-based Newman Labelling Systems. As a result it has seen efficiency on the packing line an increase and a 20% rise in line speed.

The CTE350 is a compact, fully automatic self-adhesive labeller designed specifically for the pharmaceutical industry. It can apply a wide range of self-adhesive tamper-evident, anti-counterfeit and hologram labels. Millmount Healthcare needed a machine to apply tamper-evident labels to reverse tuck cartons, as part of a new contract.

Capable of speeds of up to 350 cartons a minute, the CTE350 can handle a range of different cartons without the need for change parts. Furthermore, at just 1.3m long, the CTE350 is designed to integrate into lines where space is at a premium.

The CTE350 was installed by Newman at Millmount Healthcare's Drogheda premises in Co Louth, Ireland, and has been fully validated by Newman.

"Millmount's aim is to compete on quality, speed and flexibility, so any machine we select must be able to meet these three key demands, which the CTE350 did," said Pascal Keogh, managing director of Millmount Healthcare.
