Will enable further growth of Hungarian pharma services business

Financial investment company Lochlomond Holding, owned by Marton Szoke, has acquired a majority share in Hungarian firm Ubichem Research, a provider of chemistry services to the drug development sector, through Ubichem Pharma Services.

The remaining minority share of Budapest-based Ubichem Research remains in the ownership of József Répási, managing director of Ubichem Research.

Following the acquisition, Ubichem Pharma Services will continue to support the drug development programmes of its pharma and biotech clients worldwide, from discovery through to the clinic.

Répási said Ubichem Pharma Services has come a long way since Ubichem Research was founded in 1996, and this step will facilitate ambitious plans for further growth of the business.

Ubichem Research, through Ubichem Pharma Services, provides a range of chemistry services to support pharmaceutical development. These include cGMP API and intermediate manufacture, process research and development, analytical method development and validation, and radiolabelling.
