Used for the development of pharmaceutical applications

The Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG), headquartered in Oxford, UK, has expanded the largest commercially available collection of numerical algorithms for C and C++, a computer language widely used for the development of pharmaceutical applications.

More than 150 functions have been added to the NAG C Library, taking the total to 1,300, many of which are key to bioarray, product modelling and other new drug development research.

The NAG Library also includes two new chapters on wavelet transforms and global optimisation. Option pricing is included in a new sub-chapter.

Enhancements have been made in the areas of statistics, optimisation, linear algebra, ordinary differential equations, regression, random numbers, sorting, and special functions.
