Global contract research organisation SIRO Clinpharm is expanding its clinical trials supplies facility in Mumbai, India, in response to demand by pharmaceutical and biotech companies for storage and distribution of clinical trial supplies.
The extended facility occupies an area of 6,200ft2 with room for further expansion if required. It offers two walk-in cold rooms for storage at 2-8°C, as well as ambient storage at 15-25°C and storage at -20 to -70°C.
"The facility expansion will enable us to handle many more orders thus increasing our ability to serve a wider client base," said Dr Ajit Nair, president, India Operations.
"Very recently, we have partnered with a global leader in logistics to support them in clinical trials supplies management in India. This broadens our scope by making us a part of their global storage and distribution network and increases the platform to work on for our international pharma and biotech clients."
