Safic-Alcan gains full ownership of Sichuan HuaFaMei Enterprise Co

Gains a foothold in Asia from which to expand in the region


Safic-Alcan, an international distributor of speciality chemicals, has completed the acquisition of Sichuan HuaFaMei Enterprise Co in China.

The full ownership follows Safic-Alcan's acquisition of 50% of the firm in 2006. The shareholder and acting President, Charles Hu, will remain in place and continue to manage the business.

Founded in 1997, Sichuan HuaFaMei Enterprise Co is affiliated to the Paris, France-based BimSiframGroup while also being member of the international distributor, Safic-Alcan. The company specialises in offering active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates, plant extracts, chemical raw materials, drug products as well as a wide range of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).

Sichuan HuaFaMei Enterprise Co has developed an outstanding reputation in the distribution of products with guaranteed traceability from export and import to final distribution and the reliability of its sourcing procedures. The company has also a proven record of strong international customer relationships through its professional and dedicated teams.

The company employs 44 people in China and in 2015 reported €14m in revenues.
