Saltigo signs agreement with Daiichi Sankyo

Lanxess subsidiary provides contract manufacturing services for Japanese pharmaceutical company


German custom manufacturing specialist Saltigo is continuing the development of its pharmaceutical business portfolio by signing an agreement with Daiichi Sankyo for the provision of contract manufacturing services.

These services are associated with the preparation for commercialisation of one of Daiichi Sankyo’s novel drug pipeline projects.

A signing ceremony took place in Tokyo in the presence of Katsumi Fujimoto, Executive Vice President, Pharmaceutical Technology Division of Daiichi Sankyo, and Wolfgang Schmitz, Managing Director of Saltigo.

Schmitz said: ‘Daiichi Sankyo is one of the largest pharma players in the second-largest pharma market in the world and decided to work with a globally recognised CMO-partner such as our company. So, it is a great honour for Saltigo to enter into this agreement.’

No financial or further details have been revealed.
