Cortex Pharmaceuticals, a developer of pharmaceuticals for the treatment of respiratory disorders, has appointed James Manuso as President and Chief Executive, as well as Vice Chairman and a member of the Board of Directors.
Dr Manuso is currently Chairman, Chief Executive and sole shareholder of Talfinium Investments, an investment company focusing on publicly traded companies in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
He was also formerly Chairman and Chief Executive of Astex Pharmaceuticals.
Dr Manuso replaces Arnold Lippa, who will remain with Cortex as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Scientific Officer.
