After the successful introduction of ConsiGma at the Interpack show in April 2008, the success story continues with yet another sale of this innovative continuous high-shear granulation and drying unit.
Based on feasibility trials of the ConsiGma in the Process Development Center of GEA Pharma Systems nv (Collette), another Mexican generics company has decided to buy a large capacity unit.
After evaluation of the quality of the produced granules and a comparison of investment and running costs between ConsiGma and a traditional line, this company quickly realised the advantages of the continuous line and issued a purchase order.
An Eastern European generics player has also decided to invest in the ConsiGma for much the same reasons. It also witnessed successful trials in our laboratory in Wommelgem and after making the comparison of investment and running cost, it came to the same conclusions. Space requirement also played an important role in the decision: ConsiGma needs about a quarter of the space compared with a traditional granulation suite.
