  • Bristol-Myers Squibb has appointed Dr Elliott Sigal to the new position of senior vice president, global clinical and pharmaceutical development. He will be responsible for overseeing the company's global clinical organisation, including the clinical research operations and product development teams across all therapeutic areas.

  • Propack Data has expanded its European workforce by appointing Hartmut Puetz as area sales director for EMEA. He will also serve on the company's executive committee and report to Karl Linder, Propack Data's chairman, president and ceo.

    Meanwhile Propack Data's US headquarters has announced the appointment of Paul Nowicki to the new position of marketing director, responsible for all North American marketing activities.

  • Dr William D Kerns has been appointed to the scientific advisory board of US drug development company Ricerca.

  • Chris James, formerly principal pharmaceutical technologist at AstraZeneca, has joined Bradford Particle Design as project manager responsible for overseeing the building of the company's new cGMP plant for particle formulation and manufacture. James led part of the project team on the construction and commissioning of AZ's £45m (€73m) Lough- borough r&d facility.

  • Cavity pump manufacturer Netzsch Pumps has appointed Guy Glennon as its new managing director in the UK. He replaces Roger Willis, who has moved to the company's headquarters in Germany as head of the chemical division of the newly formed global marketing group.

  • Paul Moss has been named the new production director of UK-based fluid transfer components manufacturer Omnifit. He was previously programme manager at Raytheon Systems.

  • Following its buyout from Henkel, speciality chemicals company Cognis is reinforcing its management team. Dr Harald Wulff has become chairman of the supervisory board, and has handed over as ceo to Antonio Trius. Trius was formerly executive vice president, care chemicals.
