TFS appoints CMO and VP Global Clinical Development

Contract research organisation TFS has appointed Bassem Saleh as Chief Medical Officer and Edward Tumaian as VP Global Clinical Development.

Saleh and Tumaian will be joining the Operational Leadership Team and will report to Montse Barceló, Chief Operating Officer at TFS.

Bassem Saleh

Saleh comes to TFS with 10 years of medical and scientific expertise gained across leading biopharmaceutical companies and global CROs with extensive experience in drug development and oncology.

He joins TFS from Premier Research, where he was working as Vice President, Medical Affairs and heading up Medical, Pharmacovigilance and Informatics.

Reporting to Saleh will be the heads of regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, medical writing, feasibility, medical consulting and TFS Evidence the real-world evidence team.

Saleh is a trained oncologist and pharmaceutical physician. He received his MD from the Lebanese University and his CCT and FFPM from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians in the UK. Saleh will be based at the TFS office in Uxbridge, UK.

Edward Tumaian

Tumaian comes to TFS with 25 years of clinical development expertise. He has worked in several senior managerial positions within clinical development at Novartis, AstraZeneca Sanofi.

Tumaian joins TFS from QuintilesIMS where he was working as Senior Director, Project Leadership in Clinical Operations and responsible for Portfolio Oversight and Innovative Solutions.

Reporting to Tumaian will be the service functions of project management, clinical monitoring, data management and biostatistics involved in predominately Phase II and III trials.

Tumaian received his BS Biology degree from Villanova University. He will be based at the TFS US headquarters in Princeton, New Jersey.
