Toshiba America Business Solutions and Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions announced the promotion of Leon Roberge to Chief Information Officer at the two US-based Toshiba Tec companies.
In this new role, Roberge will be responsible for developing global IT strategy, information security policies and standards for Toshiba America Business Solutions and Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions.
He is also tasked with establishing the organisations’ IT architecture, managing vendors, suppliers and developing staff. Roberge previously served as VP of information technology at the two Toshiba companies.
Roberge has been responsible for the IT departments at Toshiba America Business Solutions and Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions since 2016 and served 16 years in senior IT roles at Toshiba America and Toshiba America Electronic Components.
As VP of IT at Toshiba America, he adopted initiatives standardising, consolidating and reducing costs through the development of shared service centers servicing multiple Toshiba companies.
