The AUSTAR Sterility Test Isolator Workstation (STIW) is part of its ‘Standards’ range of products, available in two models: UDAF (Uni-Directional Airflow) and TURB (Turbulent).

The use of barrier isolator technology in sterility testing has been shown to significantly decease and even eliminate the occurrence of false positive results. Enhanced testing results not only increase laboratory testing confidence but also decrease operational costs.

The STIW is specifically designed to provide an environment where sterility testing can take place without risk, providing protection from background contamination and ensuring the testing is undertaken in line with recommended guidelines.

With the onboard integrated bio-decontamination system the STIW allows for bio-decontamination of a load in the rapid gassing airlock while the operator works in the main chamber, and with bio-decontamination times of less than 30 minutes for the rapid gassing airlock, the STIW ensures operator’s are never waiting too long for the next load to process.

Austar can work with customers to provide a STIW configured to suit specific needs. The main chamber can be configured with 2, 3 or 4 glove ports while the airlock can be positioned on the left or right of the main chamber.
