Biesterfeld Spezialchemie, a pan-European distributor of specialist chemicals based in Hamburg, Germany, is to distribute Tereos Sucres' sucrose-based pharmaceutical excipients in Germany and Austria.

Tereos Sucres is a French sugar manufacturer whose product portfolio includes sucrose-based excipients used for various types of pharmaceutical dosage forms. The firm is focused on innovative production technologies and the qualification of products according to current pharmacopoeia and IPEC-GMP certified manufacturing facilities.

'We are pleased to expand the successful cooperation with the Tereos Group,' said Robert Radsziwill, Product Line Manager, Biesterfeld Spezialchemie.

'Tereos Sucres and Tereos Syral focus on the needs of the pharmaceutical industry, which makes them the right partner for our customers when it comes to sucrose, starch and starch hydrolysate excipients for solid, semi-solid and liquid dosage forms.'

Biesterfeld Spezialchemie distributes speciality chemicals in the fields of life science, food ingredients, and coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers (CASE).
