CPhI Worldwide celebrates 25 years of pharma partnerships
Marking the occasion CPhI has released the first in a series ‘25 pharma stories made at CPhI’
CPhI Worldwide, part of UBM Live’s pharmaceutical portfolio, is celebrating its 25th birthday by releasing the first in a series of ‘made at CPhI’ pharma stories. These will follow 25 pharma industry successes that have resulted directly from meetings at CPhI. The first story charts Global Pharmaceutical Relief from a first meeting at CPhI only two years ago to providing hundreds of millions of dollars worth of medicines to the developing world via NGOs today - not just another business story, but a great example of the CPhI family helping to proliferate healthcare throughout the globe.
'It all started with an idea on the back of a napkin, but the key suppliers and manufacturers we met at CPhI enabled us to turn this into a reality,' said Matthew Rosen, CEO at Global Pharmaceutical Relief. 'Now when there is an emergency and governments and NGOs need a medial treatment supplied Global Pharmaceutical Relief is able to help, all thanks to the distribution and supplier agreements made at the CPhI Worldwide.'
CPhI invites all attendees to take part and tweet their success stories to #CPhI25 and join the #CPhIfamily. After the event CPhI will also be releasing an ebooklet containing all 25 CPhI success stories. The event has succeeded in uniting people from all over the globe and created a truly multicultural CPhI family. Success achieved through partners, clients and visitors alike is CPhI’s triumph and there is no better way to demonstrate this than by sharing the success stories of exhibitors and visitors.
Over the years, CPhI itself has grown from just 400 people at a European ingredients conference to being the forefront of the pharmaceutical industry. CPhI Worldwide now hosts more than 35,000 attendees and 2,500 exhibitors from 140 countries.
Ever evolving, 2014 also marks the start of two new additional agendas to the CPhI family: Women’s Breakfast (Wednesday 8th Oct 7:30am), and CPhI’s collaboration with charitable partner, Global Angels (details to be confirmed post show).
The 25th CPhI Worldwide opens to the industry with the pre-connect conference on 6 October and the main event 7-9 October 2014.
