Cellbox Solutions, developer of the patented Cellbox technology, has founded a US company to sell directly to the North American market.

Following the company's development and production of a transportable CO2 incubator in 2019, as well as UN3373 packaging materials for cell transport, the company has decided to expand into the USA. Previously served by a distribution partner, the market will access the company's products directly through its branch in through Rockville, Maryland, effective immediately.

Wolfgang Kintzel, CEO of Cellbox Solutions, said: "We are pursuing a clear expansion strategy with the aim of becoming the global market leader in the field of cell logistics. Expanding into the US market, which is a leader in cell and gene therapy, was therefore the next logical step. With Stephanie Dennison, we are pleased to be able to establish the first team member permanently on site and be the direct contact for prospective customers requiring live cell shipping."

Dennison joined the team in July 2021 as the Business Development Manager on the East Coast. She has a master’s degree in molecular biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, as well as several years of sales experience at ChromoTek Inc before joining Cellbox Solutions.

Dr Corné Swart, Executive Director Business Development and Global Sales, said: "We want to make the sales process as straightforward as possible for our customers. A highly innovative product like the Cellbox still requires intensive consulting services in some cases, so it is a great advantage for everyone that we are now even closer to our prospects."
