Change of chief executive at Envirotainer

Gustaf Ljunggren joins the Swedish distributor of temperature-controlled pharmaceuticals

Following the completion of a number of key strategic initiatives, Envirotainer’s chief executive Niklas Prager has opted to leave the position and return to a post on the firm’s board of directors.

Gustaf Ljunggren has therefore been appointed as the new ceo of the Swedish distributor of temperature-controlled pharmaceuticals.

Ljunggren has held senior positions at several global companies, including Unilever and Inflight Service Europe, where he had responsibility for logistics, production and business development.

Envirotainer is a global market leader in the niche of active temperature-controlled containers. In the past year, the company has taken several steps to strengthen its position, including the implementation of a clear strategy for Asia, a stronger product and service offering, the launch of RAP e2, as well as higher production capacity and building up the container fleet.

‘Under Niklas Prager’s management, Envirotainer's growth rate and profitability has increased, while the company’s offering and relationship with key partners has strengthened. We are delighted that Niklas is staying on in his role of board member.

‘We are also very pleased with the recruitment of Gustaf Ljunggren as his successor. Gustaf’s experience and expertise provide a firm source of long-term strength to lead Envirotainer's further development,’ said chairman Simon Angeldorff.
