Chief medical officer for Synexus

Dr Glynis Neagle joins clinical trials service firm

Manchester, UK-based clinical trials service specialist Synexus has appointed Glynis Neagle as chief medical officer.

Dr Neagle will be responsible for all of the company’s medical, ethical and regulatory issues in addition to leading its expansion into new disease and therapy areas worldwide. She joins Synexus from Norgine, a specialist GI/Hepatology pharmaceutical company, where she was director of clinical development. Prior to this she spent several years working for Covance where she was latterly vp of medical affairs.

Dr Neagle has extensive experience in the clinical trials sector including large global registration trials and post-marketing studies. Her areas of therapeutic expertise include oncology, internal medicine and sleep studies.

The company also recently welcomed Christophe Berthoux as chief executive and said this latest appointment not only supports its growth plans, but also ensures it keeps medical practice at the heart of its expanding operations.
