Clasado CEO Per Rehné joins Global Prebiotic Association’s Communications Committee

Rehné will work to establish a proactive, objective voice on issues of importance to the prebiotic community

The Global Prebiotic Association (GPA), an organisation focused on the education and awareness of prebiotics, has welcomed Clasado CEO Per Rehné as a new member of the Communications Committee.

Established in 2018, the GPA is comprised of ingredient manufacturers, brand holders and retailers working to become the leading information source on prebiotics by providing a range of educational materials to help raise public awareness.

Len Monheit, Executive Director of GPA, added: “We are delighted to welcome Per to the Communications Committee. With the local market experience of Clasado, Per will help us amplify our message and reach a wider audience within the UK, particularly when communicating to the medical community, media and key stakeholders. His wealth of industry experience, coupled with his forward-thinking principles, will be an asset to our committee.”

The association functions on the shared values of being committed to prebiotic product integrity and efficacy and cultivating and supporting science-backed research opportunities.

As a member of the Communication Committee, Rehné will work to establish a proactive, objective voice on issues of importance to the prebiotic community.

“I am delighted to join the GPA Communications Committee," Rehné commented. "As leaders in science-backed prebiotics, it is our responsibility to make a difference in the community by not only continuing the research and studies that demonstrate efficacy but also educating the public on the benefits of prebiotics, as well as how far the category has come in a short space of time. By joining our efforts with other respected GPA members, we will continue to influence, drive and expand the market beyond what we see today.”

Clasado Biosciences, an innovator in the development of clinically proven prebiotic ingredients and product solutions, joined the association in October.

The company’s flagship product, Bimuno, a unique daily prebiotic fibre containing galactooligosaccharides (GOS), has been designed to stimulate the growth of good bacteria within the gut microbiome.
