Dr Rabinder Buttar wins Scottish Asian Business Award

ClinTec sees 15th year of continued growth

Dr Rabinder Buttar, chairwoman and CEO of global clinical research organisation ClinTec International, has won the Businesswoman of the Year Award in the 2012 Scottish Asian Business Awards as a result of the company’s on-going success.

These awards honour the achievements, determination and hard work of Scottish Asian Entrepreneurs who have been leaders and drivers of growth in their industry.

‘I am delighted to receive this award,’ said Dr Buttar. ‘It demonstrates the progress that ClinTec International has made since 2009 when opening its headquarters in Glasgow – growing in emerging economies and developing our CRO services portfolio. This progress is down to innovation and the commitment of our diligent employees. The accolade highlights the significant contribution Asian women are making to business in Scotland and overseas.’

Dr Buttar founded ClinTec in 1997 and has in the last 15 years grown the company’s operations across more than 40 countries worldwide becoming a truly global organisation.

Dr Buttar and ClinTec International have previously won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise and the Ernst and Young Scottish entrepreneur of the year award.
