Envirotainer completes first Releye RAP shipment

Beginning in Basel, Switzerland, the shipment landed at JFK in the US and comprised three Releye RAP units and two RAP e2 units

Envirotainer, a manufacturer of secure cold chain products for air transportation of pharmaceuticals, has announced the first commercial shipment using its Releye RAP container has been completed. The consignment was handled by Swiss WorldCargo, a carrier of intensive care pharmaceuticals.

Beginning in Basel, Switzerland, the shipment landed at JFK in the US and comprised three Releye RAP units and two RAP e2 units. The transportation was reportedly successful and went according to plan.

Using integrated live monitoring, the shipment was checked in detail through the whole journey. Through the company’s control tower service, a team of operators was on standby during the journey, ready to respond to any critical event. This service is included in all Releye leases.

Since this container is based on the same platform and technology as the company’s Releye RLP, qualification for the pharmaceutical company was streamlined, Envirotainer says.
