The latest addition to the Eppendorf Totally Integrated Pipetting System is the extended epT.I.P.S. 50-1,250µlL, for use when pipetting to and from Eppendorf deepwell plates and other deep narrow vessels.

The narrow design of this new tip, extended to 103mm to reach the bottom of deep vessels, significantly reduces the risk of coming into contact with the walls of 15ml conical tubes, reagent and reaction bottles or deepwell plates during pipetting, the company says. Consequently, the risk of cross-contamination for the valuable sample and pipette is minimised and even the smallest volumes can be safely and almost completely recovered from the bottom of 96 or 384 deepwell plates.

The epT.I.P.S. pipette tips, easily recognisable by the dark green tray, are available in four purity standards: Eppendorf quality, PCR clean, PCR clean/sterile/pyrogen-free and Eppendorf Biopur. In addition, the company says the Dualfilter version of epT.I.P.S. 50-1,250µlL offers the highest protection from aerosols and biomolecules for both pipette and sample.

The soft, flexible tip cone is said to ensure a good pipette tip seal.

The epT.I.P.S. 50-1,250µlL pipette tips also offer the utmost precision and accuracy in accordance with the requirements of EN ISO 8655.
