Cross Rental Services has acquired Swegon Hire UK, both companies involved in the HVAC hire business. The two UK companies will merge their business operations.

The acquisition enables the two businesses to bring together two highly skilled teams and to increase its hire fleet, whilst improving the support infrastructure designed to clients

Cross says Swegon Hire UK is a well-respected hire company with a 30-year heritage in the UK and a reputation for supplying temporary cooling and heating solutions, particularly servicing the manufacturing, food & beverage and defence industries.

The company was created after Swegon's acquisition of Coolmation in 2013.

The wider Swegon UK business will continue to trade as usual and maintain its focus on indoor environmental quality by providing a complete offering in HVAC, including ventilation, heating and cooling, as well as system solutions. However, the Swegon Hire brand and operating name will be phased out in the coming weeks and the business will trade under the Cross Rental Services brand going forward.

Kelvin Fogwill, Managing Director of Cross Rental Services UK, said: "Having worked in close partnership with Swegon Hire UK, we are delighted to announce this acquisition. It will be 'business as usual', with the added benefits of an improved capability to deliver even higher standards of customer focus and service across the UK and Ireland."
