Hosokawa Micron has been shortlisted as a finalist in two separate categories of the Chemicals Northwest Awards.

‘With a record number of entries for the awards this year and judges commenting on the high standard of entries received, we remain hopeful in this our first ever entry in the awards,’ says Managing Director Iain Crosley. ‘We entered the Innovation and Operational Excellence award categories and have been selected as finalists in both, which is very exciting.’

Hosokawa Micron’s Machine to Machine, Remote Monitoring and Performance Improvement Solution has been chosen as a finalist in the Innovation Award category. This innovative solution helps manufacturers monitor remote plant and equipment, operate their plant at full potential and detect potential equipment failure through early detection – to deliver a rapid return on investment.

In the Operational Excellence category, Hosokawa Micron’s use of the remote monitoring system in its toll processing facility to offer an enhanced service to users of the Runcorn facility has been identified by Chemicals Northwest Awards judges of worthy of short listing into the final of the event which represents the best in the chemical processing sector.

Chemicals Northwest is an industry-led, chemical cluster support organisation for the £10bn North West chemical sector – the largest in the UK. The 2015 Chemicals Northwest Awards will be taking place on 19 March at the Hilton Manchester, Deansgate.
