Medivir, a Stockholm, Sweden-based infectious diseases drugs specialist, says Henric Juserius will take overall responsibility for the firm’s pharmaceutical marketing and sales when he joins in August. He will also become part of the management team.
Juserius was most recently commercial director for the Nordic region at Actelion Pharmaceuticals. He has worked within pharmaceutical marketing and sales for more than 20 years in companies such as Astra, GlaxoWellcome, Pfizer, Serono and Actelion.
Maris Hartmanis, president and ceo of Medivir, says Juserius’s experience will be invaluable now that the firm is approaching a market launch in the Nordic countries of its flagship product, TMC435, for hepatitis C.
Juserius will also work on the development of Medivir’s existing portfolio of prescription drugs.
