Mettler Toledo has launched the PBD659 and PBA639 hygienic weighing platforms, designed to help manufacturers in the pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries speed up cleaning processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
According to the company, the platforms adhere to hygienic design guidelines, facilitate quick and easy cleaning, and meet weighing accuracy standards to expedite processing time and reduce production costs.
Operators can boost cleaning speed by up to 40% compared to traditional weighing equipment. Various features of the platforms are included to help operators to eliminate contamination risk in regulated environments. They feature open-frame stainless-steel design with rounded edges and minimal flat surfaces, as well as hermetically sealed load cell with IP68 and IP69k water ingress protection.
The platforms are designed to withstand impacts in challenging environments. Independently adjusted overload stops and additional side impact protection enable increased uptime, reduced maintenance and maximised equipment longevity, Mettler Toledo says.
The smart load cell used within the PBD659 platform reportedly corrects and compensates for measurement errors caused by external and internal factors.
