Nick Haggar of Sandoz to become new EGA President

Takes up the role on 8 October

The European Generic medicines Association (EGA) has named Sandoz’s Nick Haggar as the new incoming President of the industry body. He will take over from Gudbjorg Edda Eggertsdottir of Actavis on 8 October. He continues with his responsibilities as Head of Western Europe, Middle East and Africa at generics and biosimilars manufacturer Sandoz.

Haggar has worked in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry for 27 years and holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.

He will speak about his vision for generic and biosimilar medicines on 8 October at the Industrial Policy Conference hosted by the EGA in Brussels, Belgium.

Founded in 1993, the EGA represents generic pharmaceutical companies and its subsidiaries throughout Europe.
