Whitehouse Scientific launches PoreSizer system for advanced particle, sieve mesh and filter pore measurement
European certification laboratory for primary methods of particle size analysis, Whitehouse Scientific, has launched its new PoreSizer system for image analysis.
The PoreSizer is a static image analysis system that measures particle size and shape, sieve meshes and filter pores using an optical microscope and high quality 1.4 megapixel camera.
Specifically designed for the measurement of geometric pore sizes of filter media, the system provides a transparent measurement process that is fully traceable using certified reference standards.
The PoreSizer can display live video, analysis, measurement and setting all on a single screen. Analysis can be tailored with numerous size and shape definitions, as well as logarithmic and linear graphs, number and volume analysis and outlier removal.
Further features include: preformatted certificate templates for inclusion in reports; comparison of a multitude of data files or with other samples for reproducibility analysis; automatic online updates of the system; and a performance check workflow.

Incorporated within PoreSizer, the ShapeSizer function is the foundation for the creation, verification and certification of all Whitehouse Scientific glass microspheres reference standards and can measure thousands of particles in only a few minutes.
